If Mitsubishi had not been shaken by a consumption swap this year, no one would have taken more notice of the brand. The Mitsubishi models for Europe are too average. However, two new studies give hope that the Japanese will remain more firmly in the memory.
The successor to the ASX?
At the "Indonesia International Auto Show" from the 11th to the 21st of August 2016 Mitsubishi shows a concept car, which is to give indications for a so-called "Small Crossover MPV". What do you mean by this? The robust appearance of an SUV combined with the versatility of an MPV or Van. Best examples are the 2008 and the new 3008 from Peugeot. Mitsubishi promises for his study a wide body with an interior for seven occupants. The "Ground Tourer Concept" will be presented on the Mitsubishi stand at the Automesse in Paris (1st to 16th October 2016). Behind it lies the study of a "high-end" SUV Coupé. This indicates a vehicle of the format of the BMW X6. Thus, a potential series model would be positioned above the 4.70 meter long outlander. Technically, Mitsubishi's "Ground Tourer Concept" is based on the plug-in hybrid known by the Outlander.
