In the spring of 2017, the AMG GT will also be launched as a roadster. This also includes a version called GT C with 557 hp, which occurs between the GT S with 510 hp and the GT R with 585 hp. This version will soon be available as a coupé, as our Erl King images show.
Uncertified model caught at photoshooting
Our photographer caught the car uninhibited at a shoot for the press pictures. Similar to the roadster, the C version of the coupé also looks aside from the other variants. The car gets the track widening and the bumpers of the stronger GT R, but no rear spoiler and normal tailpipes.
Special edition for the AMG birthday
As can be seen from the model name at the rear, the GT C Coupé is the special version Edition 50. The special model is offered in matt black, while the normal GT C Coupé is also available in other colors. The edition will be launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of AMG in 2017. The high-performance brand of Mercedes was founded on 1 June 1967 by Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher. The abbreviation AMG is derived from the initial letters of the family names and the founding place Großasbach near Stuttgart.
